Biography

Jeanette Wong holds a Bachelor degree in Music from McGill University. She was a teacher in the Suzuki program at McGill Conservatory of Music in Montreal since 2004 until it was closed in 2022. She continues teaching in her private studio.

Jeanette has received Suzuki teacher training from Mary Craig Powell and Doris Harrel.

She was also the organist and choir director of St. Lawrence Anglican Church in the City of Lasalle from 2006-2010.

From 2001-2010 Jeanette was the Assistant Conductor of the South Shore Children's Chorus and has been a member of the St. Lambert Choral Society from 2003-2008.

Since 2011, Jeanette has followed the training of the Dalcroze approach to teach music. She has studied at the Summer Dalcroze Institute of Longy School of Music of Bard College in Boston. Currently she is pursuing the Dalcroze Certificate at The Dalcroze School of Music and Movement in Texas.

In her teaching, the Dalcroze approach is frequently used to help students explore and understand music.
